We are extremely excited and delighted to be adding a new role to the incredible team here at United Studios. We are looking to hire an experienced Full-stack Developer to work with our expanding team and portfolio or clients. You can choose to work from our awesome office location in Newport Pembrokeshire or Remotely, the choice is yours, we are prepared to make it work for the right candidate.

Over the last 12 months, United Studios has doubled its turnover and has grown from a team of 4 to a team of 8. Our team have been involved with a range of amazing projects, including the creation of some amazing eCommerce experiences to help clients through the pandemic, and to unleash their online potential. Since January 2021 the company has experienced rapid growth, and we are looking to continue growing our reach, services, and team to help even more of our clients to develop new websites, build new apps and even plan out bespoke software solutions.

We’ve recently been appointed as the agency to develop a county-wide project for PLANED, where you’ll be actively involved in creating a website and mobile app for servicing the Arts and Cultural Industry in Pembrokeshire. We are currently working on a range of exciting projects for the NHS, and have a number of new eCommerce solutions which we’ll be building.

For the first 6-8 months of your employment you’ll be actively involved in the frontend development of our WordPress theme and framework, whilst also working with REACT to create rich internet applications that work in conjunction with WordPress. We are planning on the role to develop further working with our backend development team to create our own bespoke, lightweight CMS framework to support our bespoke clients, and to deliver an all-inclusive, accessible experience for consumers and CMS users.

You’ll be given a kick-ass computer to build your amazing projects from and will also play an active role in shaping the company into the agency we all want it to be. We are a reactive, supportive and communicative bunch, you should be too to make sure you are the right fit for us and for you.

Fluent in industry-standard HTML 5, CSS 3, SASS, Bootstrap 4/5, JavaScript. Experience with converting designs accurately from prototype to functional responsive websites. Crafting web-accessible code to WCAG AA standard for DDA compliant websites Experience with REACT is essential for this role. Great working knowledge and understanding of PHP including frameworks such as Laravel. Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB and more. Knowledge of Version Control systems preferably Git or equivalent. Implementing Coding Styles based on PSR Innovative thinking and efficient problem-solving. A thorough understanding of WordPress and other open-source frameworks. Excellent verbal communication skills. Good problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.
