Karolo is a small but highly ambitious design agency based in Cardiff City Centre. Working with clients across a wide range of industries, our team of designers and developers work closely together to produce websites and brands of the highest quality. From selling cheese and instruments to promoting rally cars, government projects, solicitors and glampsites – our clients vary in size and location, and all pose their own unique challenges.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a full-time graduate/junior graphic designer to become an integral part of our team, providing creative design solutions to our growing client base.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working closely with the creative team, initially providing support on projects spanning branding, printed literature and website design (design not development). As your skills develop, your responsibilities will increase as you work towards taking project briefs from our creative director, generating ideas and designing projects from start to finish. This is the ideal opportunity for someone eager to learn, with a passion for design.

You’ll be able to:

• Illustrate your creativity via a varied portfolio of work
• Work fluently across Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD *Communicate effectively and confidently
• Manage your own time with the ability to prioritise tasks, deal with conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
• Be proactive, positive, motivated and enthusiastic
• Take pride in your work and maintain our high standards

Experience working within the design/web industry is beneficial but not required. The right attitude, a proactive approach and the ability to deliver creative design solutions is crucial to this role.

Icing on the cake

• Experience with basic animation would be beneficial… such as animated icons etc
• Experience of designing for the web, with an understanding of grid systems, information architecture and user experience

Location

Our office is based in Cardiff and we are looking for someone to work within our studio environment.

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per year dependent on skills and experience
