Middleweight 3d Motion Artist / Retoucher

We are looking for a talented, skilled and dedicated full-time Middleweight 3d Artist / Retoucher with a passion for creating high-end CGI animations and static imagery, but also with a solid understanding of post production and retouch to achieve top quality results.

The candidate must be enthusiastic, personable and keen to work with an established small team. They should be keen to keep progressing their own skills but also willing to share and help others in the team to grow.

DW Studio is all about attention to detail and high-end quality output coupled with effective communication at the heart of everything we deliver. We work directly with some of the biggest names in the business and our work has to satisfy these requirements.

Requirements:

- Minimum 3+ years industry experience working within a high-end CGI/animation production team.

- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary environment.

- Positive and professional attitude with the desire and ability to create high-end results direct from 3d.

- Enthusiasm for all things design, technology and a love for new products and tech.

- The ability to 3d model, texture, light and render high-end results.

- Able to retouch CG artwork and animations to a high level

- Submission of portfolio showcasing quality of your previously created CGI videos and stills.

Proven knowledge required for the following:

Software

- Cinema 4D (Modelling, rigging, texturing, rendering)

- Redshift (shader building, texturing, lighting, AOV setup, rendering)

- TurbulenceFD

- X-Particles

- After Effects (Trapcode, Red giant, Sapphire)

- Deadline

- Photoshop

- Illustrator

Production / Workflow

- ACES workflow from Cinema 4D to After Effects

- Post production and Visual FX workflow and techniques

- Live action shoots and workflows / compositing CG with live action plates

- Working with post houses to deliver required plates

Beneficial knowledge of:

- Substance

- Nuke

- Houdini

- 3d Tracking (PFTrack, Boujou etc)

Desirables:

- The ability to understand what looks good and what does not

- Consistent and fault-free proofing internally and externally to clients

- Trail blazer mentality, keeping up with industry developments, new software and hardware advancements

- Ambitious individual with a desire to excel

- Showcase of artistic flair and technical ability

- Self-driven to meet deadlines, with a clear focus on image quality

- Creative thinker

- Attention to detail is an absolute must
