Hi there, we're UWTSD Students' Union. A fun and dynamic charity helping over 25,000 students make the most of their time at university.

We're looking for a super talented and ambitious Graphic Designer to join our ranks and take our Design & Communications to the next level.

This exciting role will see you joining our enthusiastic and supportive Design Team as create amazing branding, digital design, print design, merchandise, photography, video and more!


Key Info

  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent

  • Salary: £22,950 Per Annum

  • Location: Flexible campus location (Swansea, Carmarthen or Lampeter) with some remote working


Key duties

  • To provide innovative and creative graphic design for all Students’ Union campaigns, advertising, and communication
  • To pro-actively manage relationships and stakeholders
  • To effectively and efficiently manage resources

Essential Criteria

These are the must-have skills, qualities, and qualifications you need to apply.

  • 1 to 2 years of graphic design work experience in a variety of media
  • Excellent creative design and layout skills producing work for both print and digital formats (including for social media channels)
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite software in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Desirable Criteria

These are the good-to-haves that will help your application stand out.

  • Degree in Graphic Design
  • Knowledge and understanding of animation and/or video editing i.e. After Effects and/or Premier
  • Experience of the print process and liaison with commercial printers
  • Sourcing quotes and estimates, and placing print orders
  • Confident in online digital media creation including HTML/CSS
  • It is highly desirable to be able to communicate in Welsh to a good standard
